A fire that destroyed five properties in Newtownabbey may've been started deliberately.

The blaze broke out at Ballyduff Gardens just before 6pm on Saturday.

One man was treated at the scene for the effects of smoke inhalation but was not take to hospital.

The Fire and Rescue Service believes the blaze started after an oil tank caught fire.

Last night the Valley Leisure Centre was opened to people who were affected by the blaze.
