Video footage has emerged of an altercation in Belfast's Botanic Gardens.
The assaults are believed to have happened on Thursday afternoon.
Sergeant King said “Shortly before 4:00pm we received reports of an altercation in Botanic Gardens.
"A 17 year old girl has been charged with four counts of common assault and is due to appear at Belfast Youth Court on 31 May.
As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
The charges follow an incident in Botanic Gardens area of south Belfast yesterday, Thursday 4 May.
A 25 year old man arrested in connection with the same incident remains in custody at present."
