Further Education lecturers stage one day strike in Northern Ireland

Lecturers across Northern Ireland are holding a one day strike today.

Staff belonging to the University and College Union are taking the action in a dispute over pay and workload.

The union says its members in further education colleges have only received a 3.8% pay rise since 2013/14.
