An online survey on mobile phone coverage and Broadband service is currently being carried out by Mid-Ulster District Council.
Business representatives and residents who are experiencing problems with coverage are invited to fill it in.
The feedback will be analysed to identify areas where significant problems exist.
The council can then lobby government and telecoms providers.
The Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson, says one of the main priorities identified following consultation sessions on the Council’s new draft Community Plan was the issue of poor broadband connection and mobile phone coverage in certain areas.
“People want this issue addressed and this survey from the council will do just that. It is the first step on the road to getting the issue resolved and providing improved service to residents and businesses in these affected areas,” he says.
And the chair is urging people experiencing such problems to complete the short survey.
It can be found at www.midulstercouncil.org/broadbandsurvey.
If you do not have access to a computer or the internet, paper copies are available at the three main council offices – Cookstown, Dungannon and Magherafelt.
Completed surveys can be returned to any of these three offices, or by post to Pauline Gallagher, Mid Ulster District Council, Economic Development service, 24 Northland Row, Dungannon, Co Tyrone, BT71 6AP
Completed surveys must be returned by Friday (10 March).
