A petrol bomb is thought to have been thrown at a house in the Short Strand in east Belfast.
A house on Madrid Street has been reportedly damaged in the incident.
It's believed to have happened around 9pm on Saturday night.
“Detective Sergeant McPhillips would appeal to anyone who may have information which may assist the investigation to contact detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 1239 12/11/16.
“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
