Newry Rainbow Community's to stage its first Pride in Newry Awards.
The event, to be held in February, is to recognise contributions that have impacted the LGBT community.
Nominations are open for ten awards which will be based on votes by the public.
The award categories are political contribution, people's choice, best supporting business, best statutory partner (organisation), best statutory partner (individual), most progressive school, best contribution to the Pride in Newry parade, best supporting community organisation, best supporting LGBT organisation and best contribution by an LGBT volunteer.
Organiser and Newry Pride committee member Damien McKevitt says many have had a positive impact on the community.
