The freedom of Derry/Londonderry has been bestowed on former Derry City football manager Jim McLaughlin.
He was awarded it at a special ceremony in the city's Guildhall last night.
Tributes were paid to the 79-year-old who managed Derry City in the 1988/1989 season, when they won the Treble in the League of Ireland.
Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council Michaela Boyle told Q Radio he is treasured by so many in the city and is a "national hero".
