Cookstown woman Maud Kells will be speaking at this years Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention.

It's a convention where speakers from across the world shed light on their missionary work, as well as offering advice and prayer.

Local missionary, Maud worked in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

However, she was shot near her home there by bandits.

Maud will be speaking in Magherfelt on Thursday as part of the 81st Worldwide Banger Convention which is already underway this week.

Q Radio's been speaking to Maud who says she's looking forward to the event.

Despite being retired, she also said she's still taking meetings and is quite busy:

Maud will be speaking at Union Road Presbyterian Church on Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, where she will share some of her experiences.
