Long-term Dog's Trust resident finally finds a home

A Terrier cross who was a resident of Dogs Trust Ballymena for more than a year has finally found a home. Seven-year-old Rusty had become so well known to the staff at the Ballymena based Rehoming Centre, that many of them turned out to wish him well as he left Dogs Trust with his new family.

Married couple Mal and Sarene, have brought Rusty home to Banbridge. “My husband and I have been dog owners for around 17 year" said Sarene "We agreed that adopting a dog would be the best route for us as a couple"

 

The re-homing Oonagh Phillips says she's delighted to see Rusty finally find a home.  However the Trust says their work is never complete.

Speaking to Q Radio News, Trust spokesperson Emma Martin says they're trying to focus on finding homes for some of their older dogs:
