Man arrested in connection with dissident republican activity

A man has been arrested by police in connection with the activities of the new IRA in Derry-Londonderry.

The 35 year-old has been detained under the Terrorism Act on suspicion of involvement in four assaults - involving firearms that occurred in the Creggan area of the city in January and February.

He remains in Police custody

(The man was linked to four assaults involving firearms in Derry/Londonderry earlier this year)
