A 29 year-old man is due in court following a cross border police pursuit which ended in Newry.
The driver of the Honda Civic which was detected on the A1 Northbound Carriageway just before midnight on Wednesday is accused of a number of offences, some of which committed before he crossed the border.
The car was found badly damaged a short time later in the Forkill Road area of the city.

He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates Court later.
In a statement yesterday, Inspector Stewart said: “This is another example that highlights the success of our partnership with An Garda Síochána in tackling crime along the border area.
