A young man has been taken to hospital following an early morning crash near the Irish border.
The two vehicle collision happened on the N1 near Carrickcarnan at around 2.15am.
The driver - who's in his 20s - was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where his condition is described as serious.

A Gardai statement said officers are at the scene of a serious road traffic collision that occurred at Carrickcarnan on N1 in the early hours of this morning, Saturday 29th February, 2020.
"A two vehicle collision occurred at approximately 2.15am and one man (early 20s) has been removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, in a serious condition," it added.
"The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are en route to the scene and will conduct their investigations.
"Investigations ongoing."
