A man's been shot in the leg in a paramilitary style attack in West Belfast.
It happened at around 8 last night in the Dunville Street area.
The victim, who's in his 50's, was attacked in an alleyway there.
Police have described it as a 'vicious and brutal attack', which happened when families could have been going about their daily business.
PSNI Detective Sergeant Gardiner said, "The victim, along with anyone who happened to witness this, would have been petrified".
He added "such actions have no place whatsoever in today's society".
