As the bad weather continues across Northern Ireland, police in Mid Ulster are reminding people to only use the 999 number in the case of an emergency.

They've said in recent days, they've received reports that aren't serious or an emergency; which the line is supposed to be used for.

A spokesperson for the PSNI Dungannon and South Tyrone posted the following status on their facebook page:

Once again, members of the public are reminded to keep the 999 number for emergencies only and contact police on 101 for any other queries or reports.
