Recent water quality tests confirmed that incidence of the water-borne bacteria had passed.
In September Fermanagh and Omagh District Council erected signage at Muckross Bay to warn visitors of the presence of blue green algae in the area.
Adults, children and animals were told to avoid contact with the algae and the water close to it due to its harmful effects.
"The most recent water quality tests undertaken by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) at Muckross Bay have confirmed that the incidence of blue green algae has passed," a council from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council read.
Council officers have already taken down warning signage around the local beauty spot.
"Any concerns regarding blue green algae in the district should be reported directly to DAERA, 028 6862 8882 or Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Environmental Health Service on 0300 303 1777," the statement from the local council continued.
