A 35-year-old man charged with the murder of 53-year-old Nigel David George Orr-McAuley. in Bangor on Wednesday appeared at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today.
Daniel Szcezyelak appeared via videolink from police custody.
The victim was stabbed to death at Szcezyelak’s home address in Beatrice Road, Bangor, on July 14.

Police were called to the address shortly after midnight, but the Mr Orr was pronounced dead at the scene.
In court today, the defendant’s defence counsel said his client understood the charges and did not lodge an application for bail.
Deputy District Judge Philip Mateer remanded Szcezyelak into custody and adjourned the case to 11 August.
