The Infrastructure Minister's renewed commitment to Narrow Water bridge is being cautiously welcomed.
Speaking yesterday Chris Hazzard said he wanted to "make progress" with the project.
The cross-border road bridge will link counties Down and Louth.
Plans were previously stalled after miscalculations of the cash needed.
South Down MP Margaret Ritchie says now Chris Hazzard must get it together.
"He must pony up now to work directly with his colleagues in the Northern Ireland Executive and the Irish Government through the North South Ministerial Council to produce the funding that will allow the development and construction of Narrow Water bridge."
