The chamber of commerce here's calling on the Infrastructure Minister to reverse street parking price hikes in Newry.
It follows last week's announcement that the price would jump by 50%, from 40p per hour to 60p.
The changes will take effect from next month.
On-street parking in Belfast and Lisburn are also set to increase.
Newry and Belfast chambers of commerce, retail union NIIRTA and Hospitality Ulster are jointly against it.
In a statement they said the incoming Infrastructure Minister must "rethink" this "unnecessary burden on shoppers".
