The Derry born actress Roma Downey is to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She is perhaps best known for her nine seasons as 'Monica' - an angel on the television series 'Touched by an Angel.'
In more recent times the 56 year old has presented a series of reality and religious shows in the U.S.
She is president of LightWorkers Media, under which she is executive producer of "The Bible," "Son of God," "Little Boy," "Women of The Bible," "Little Angels," "Answered Prayers," and "The Dovekeepers."
Roma's married to British producer Mark Burnett, who is currently president of MGM Television and Digital Group.
The couple have a daughter, Reilly - and two stepsons, James and Cameron. They also keep three Irish wolfhounds at their home.
The star will be unveiled on August 11th.
