A Stormont Assembly member has proposed an Older People's fund to support the elderly coming out of lockdown.
The initiative would provide 2 million pounds to local councils to help set up programmes to reintegrate older people into the community.
The SDLP's Colin McGrath says they need practical and emotional support to help them deal with the new normal.
The South Down MLA has asked the Communities and Finance Ministers to support the plan:
