Two men arrested in East Belfast in relation to paramilitary threats issued to four catholic families have been released pending a report to prosecutors.
Victims fled their homes in the Cantrell Close area last month after being warned of the threat.
The PSNI Chief Constable, George Hamilton, said he believed the UVF was responsible for the threats being issued.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Two men aged 37 and 40, who were arrested in east Belfast earlier today under the Terrorism Act, on suspicion of membership of a proscribed organisation, namely the UVF, have been released pending a report to the PPS."
