The knitting appeal has been overwhelming.

Premature babies born to Mid-Ulster mums at Antrim Area hospital are to benefit from a special initiative.

'Octopus' toys are being knit for the neo-natal unit.

That’s because its 'tentacles' remind premature babies of the umbilical cord.

It also helps to prevent the babies from trying to pull out their tubes as it keeps their hands occupied.

Unison Causeway's Caroline Campbell says the response to the appeal has been brilliant:
