Prison officers across Northern Ireland could go on strike on Christmas Day.
Seventy per cent of officers balloted recently voted in favour of industrial action over pay.
It's illegal for prison officers to walk out but the ballot question asked members if they supported industrial action up to and including strike action.
It was carried out among officers at Maghaberry and Magilligan jails.
The Prison Officers Association says it will continue to work to rule.
