Officers are warning those with fireworks to buy a licence.
It's after they recovered unlicensed fireworks from a group of youths in Newry when they stopped a car last night.
They're warning those that flout the law risk injuring themselves, friends and the public.
They could also find themselves before a magistrates court facing charges of possession of an offensive weapon.
