A senior police officer's said he's concerned by the rise in people calling the PSNI about domestic abuse over Christmas

Last year, over seven-hundred cases were reported during the festive period.

The police are running a campaign encouraging victims to come forward.

Detective Chief Superintendent George Clarke says too many cases go unreported.
