Police are looking for a man in connection with a robbery at an off-licence in West Belfast.
It happened at around 1 yesterday afternoon on the Suffolk Road.
A man making a purchase jumped over and grabbed a sum of money from the till, before forcing his way out the door.
He's described as being in his late twenties, of thin build, with dark hair, and was wearing a dark tracksuit, with a navy baseball cap.
No staff were injured in the incident.
Detective Sergeant O'Flaherty said:
"It was reported to us shortly before 1pm that a man entered the premises on Suffolk Road and, as he was making a purchase, he jumped over the counter and grabbed a sum of money from the till. He then forced his way out, through the front door, and ran off down Suffolk Road with a sum of money. "
“The suspect is described as being of a skinny build, possibly aged in his late twenties, with short dark hair. He is reported to have worn a navy tracksuit top with the hood pulled up, navy bottoms with a black or navy baseball cap and light grey and white trainers. "
"This was a frightening ordeal for the staff member who was in his place of work where he was simply doing his job. Thankfully, he didn't suffer any physical injuries. "
"I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw what occurred, or anyone who believes they may have seen a male matching the description of the suspect, to contact detectives at Musgrave by calling 101 and quoting reference number 1149 of 01/11/19."
