A suspicious object has been removed from the scene of a security alert in Sion Mills.
Dozens of residents were forced to leave their homes during the incident yesterday.
The alert on Sycamore Avenue lasted several hours as army bomb experts examined the device.
Detective Sergeant Brian Reid said:
“I would like to thank the public today for their patience during the security alert and would appeal for anyone with information to contact police in Strabane on 101.”
