Two further Covid-19 deaths here and 1,087 new cases in the past day

The Department of Health is reporting two more Covid-19 deaths in Northern Ireland.

Official figures also show 1,087 new cases of the virus in the past 24 hours.

There are 397 Covid-positive patients in local hospitals - with 34 being treated in intensive care. 

2,773,870 vaccines have been administered here in total.
