A Viable device has been found following a security alert in West Belfast
An area of the Coolnasilla park west was cordened off over night and several residents were evacuated.
The alert ended in the early this morning.
The pipe bomb type device was made safe and has been taken away by the PSNI for further examination.
Detective Inspector Paul Rowland said: “Those who left this device in a residential area clearly have no regard for the people who live here and I am appealing for the community’s support in identifying the perpetrators."
