Police are investigating the report of a burglary at a church on Church Road in Crossgar.
It happened between 10pm on Friday 18th and 10am on Saturday Saturday 19th May.
We're told entry was gained to the church and an outbuilding, however, it's unclear at this time if anything was stolen.
Significant damage was also caused to the windows of the church as a result of the incident.
Officers would ask anyone with any information which could assist them with their enquiries to contact police at Downpatrick on 101 quoting reference number 522 19/05/18.
Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
