The woman pedestrian killed in Ballycastle yesterday evening was Anne Malone who was in her fifties and lived in the resort.
The collision happened on the Ramoan Road around 4.45pm.
A local PSNI inspector said: "I would ask anyone who witnessed this collision or the car or pedestrian in the run up to the collision, to contact Coleraine Police Station or the Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 909 of 13/02/17."
Causeway Coast and Glens Councillor Cara McShane paid tribute to Anne. "A very jovial, happy person" said Cara "she was a beautiful person inside and out".

James McCaughan from the Ballycastle Chamber of Commerce told Q Radio News that the whole town was "numb" following the tragedy:
"It's a terrible tragedy" said James "she's from a big local family, you would have regularly seen her up the street with her grandchildren."
