Woman dead after car plunges off Donegal pier

A woman's body has been recovered after a car was seen entering the water in County Donegal.

The Fiat Punto drove off a pier on the Fanad peninsula at around half 1 this afternoon.

A young boy who witnessed the incident raised the alarm.

Gardai were attending the scene along with the emergency services and the coastguard.

The Mulroy Coastguard has confirmed that the search has now ended.
