Police say a woman in her 80s was the victim of a burglary early this morning in East Belfast.
She woke up and found a man in her bedroom, who demanded money from the pensioner.
She refused to give across the cash and believed he had left empty handed.
However police say they later found that cash, medication and jewellery were taken from her home on Lawnmount Street.
Officers soon arrested an 18 year old man nearby in connection with the incident and he is being questioned by officers.
