A 19-year-old woman has been stabbed after an assault in Newtownards.
It happened at around 12:45pm in the Thomas Street area on Saturday afternoon.
She was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which aren't believed to be life-threatening.
A man who made off from the house was arrested shortly after.
He was detained on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detective Sergeant Joy Fitzgerald said,
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information which could help with our investigation, to contact detectives at the Public Protection Unit in Newtownards on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 541 of 20/01/18.”
