Twenty one young people attended police presentations on the dangers of alcohol in Cookstown.

The aim of these is to highlight what can happen when young people drink and to allow them to reflect on their actions.

The young people were joined by their parents.

The presentations were run by Cookstown Neighbourhood Policing Team, in partnership with Mid Ulster Policing and Community Safety Partnership.

It follows several weekends of incidents related to teenage discos.

Police are once again reminding parents to be aware of where their children are. They are also encouraging them to speak to them about substance abuse.
