Bara upbeat ahead of play-off - Kenny says Covid crisis puts sport in perspective

Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough says they go into next month knowing they can play in two or three different ways.

His side remain bottom of their Nations League group with just one point after four games following a 1-0 defeat in Norway.

The Euro play-off against Slovakia is coming up at Windsor Park. 

Baraclough says there are positives to take from their recent displays.

Meanwhile, Stephen Kenny says mitigating factors mean his wait for a first win as Republic of Ireland manager has been extended to five games.

They lost 1-0 away to Finland in the Nations League with his squad hit by coronavirus protocols and injuries.

But Kenny says things need to be put in perspective.
