Linfield will this evening bid to become the first Irish League club to reach the group stages of a European competition. 

The Blues are in Baku to face Qarabag in the second leg of their Europa League play-off.

David Healy's men lead 3-2 from last week's home tie at Windsor Park.

The manager says his players can again upset the odds against the Azerbaijan champions...

If the Blues progress, they stand to bank £4m in UEFA prize money.

Institute are through to the last 16 of the BetMcLean League Cup.

They twice came from behind to beat PSNI 3-2 in last night's second round game at Limavady.

Meanwhile, two Institute players have signed for Coleraine - keeper Martin Gallagher and midfielder Aaron Jarvis.

Bannsiders boss Oran Kearney has also snapped up striker Nedas Maciulaitis from Portadown club Annagh United who play in the NIFL Premier Intermediate League.
