Celine Curtis scored two hat-tricks in Newry's win over Cliftonville

Newry City Ladies have surged to the top of the Danske Bank Women's Premiership with a crushing 12-1 victory against Cliftonville Ladies.

Celine Curtis stole the show against her former club, helping herself to six of the goals at the Newry Showgrounds last night. 

Aimee Mackin hit a hat-trick, Rayza De Souza struck twice with Claire Taylor getting the other goal.

Linfield Ladies slip to second, two points behind Newry after they were held to a one-all draw by Crusaders Strikers at Rathmore.


Sion Swifts moved six points clear of Glentoran Belfast United in third place with a thrilling 4-3 home win over the east Belfast side.

The Sion goals were scored by Geny Decker, Julianne Herrity, Amy Boyle Carr and a stunning strike to win it from Chloe McGlade.
