Games postponed for Sion and Derry as Covid hits sport in the North West

Wednesday night's Danske Women's Premiership games involving Derry City and Sion Swifts have both been postponed due to cross-border Covid-19 travel restrictions.

Both clubs have players based in Donegal.

League leaders Sion were due to host Crusaders with Derry at home to Cliftonville. 

The only remaining league fixture is Linfield Ladies against Glentoran Women behind closed doors at Midgley Park.

The sides are sitting second and third respectively, level on points, three behind Sion.

There's been another defeat for Derry City in the League of Ireland.

A late goal saw them go down 1-0 away to Sligo Rovers on Tuesday night.

The Candystripes stay seventh, just four points clear of basement club Cork City.
