Glenavon have bolstered their ranks ahead of the new season, bringing in former Northern Ireland international Sammy Clingan.

The midfielder moved to Linfield last season, however struggled for game time with the champions.

Clingan played as a 'guest of the club' in preseason, lining up for the Lurgan Blues against Loughgall FC at the weekend.

Glenavon have now signed him on a one year deal.

Clingan made 39 appearances for Northern Ireland after making his debut in 2006.
