Former All-Ireland Club championship winning coach, Lenny Harbninson has been ratified as the new Antrim senior football boss.

Harbinson has been handed a three year deal with a review at the end of each year.

He replaces Frank Fitzsimons and Gearoid Adams who took joint command of the Saffrons for the past two years.

Harbinson is a former Antrim player and is currently at the helm of Armagh club Ballymacnab Round Towers.

He won the All Ireland Senior Club Football title in 2010 with St Galls, beating Clare outfit Kilmurry Ibrickane in the final.

Chair of the review group Alec McQuillen said "Lenny gave an excellent presentation of his wide-ranging and detailed approach and we felt that he was best suited for the job at this time"
