Larne have joined Linfield in the race to sign Ballymena United's transfer-listed striker Johnny McMurray.

Ballymena say they've received a formal approach from the Championship leaders to hold talks with the player.

Crusaders goalkeeper Sean O'Neill has been put on the transfer list at this own request.

It follows the arrival at Seaview of ex-Derry City keeper Gerard Doherty.

The Crues go to Linfield in the Danske Bank Premiership on Saturday afternoon - second against fourth in the table.

Meanwhile, league leaders by two points Ballymena face Warrenpoint Town at the Q Radio Arena.

The Sky Blues are aiming to make it 10 wins in a row in all competitions.

Glentoran are away to Institute.

It'll be the Glens' first league fixture at the Brandywell since they drew with Derry City there in February, 1972.

In the other games, Cliftonville welcome Glenavon, Coleraine host Ards and Newry City go to Dungannon Swifts.

They all start at 3pm.
