Moyola Park welcomed Bangor to the Mill Meadow on Saturday for a NIFL Premier Intermediate League game and they were looking to bounce back after last week’s 4-0 defeat at Banbridge.
They did just that and were rewarded with a 3-3 draw.
The first chance of the game fell to the home side in the 3rd minute and Paul opened the scoring. The visitors had a chance in the 7th minute when McMullan had his shot saved by Farniok and the same player headed wide a minute later. The home pushed for a 2nd and McAllister crossed to Rafferty to headed straight at Corry and at the other end a minute later McMullan shot wide and McNamee was booked following a challenge on Lucas.
The second half started with D Beattie receiving a yellow card for a foul on Moore and the same player passed to Craig a minute later and he should have scored only he held on to long and his effort was blocked.
The visitors equalised in the 55th minute when a ball through found Calvert and he finished from a narrow angle. The 58th minute saw another booking with Walsh going into the book following a foul on Beggs. The home side nearly regained the lead in the 60th minute when a cross from McAllister was just flicked over the bar by McQuillan.
The referee reached for his cards again in the 72nd minute when Edgar was booked for a challenge on Rafferty and with 14 minutes left on the clock Forrest received the ball on the right and he crossed to Rafferty who turned and fired a shot into the bottom corner to makes the scores even at three all.
