Derry City bounced back from Friday's home defeat against Sligo to beat St. Pat's 2-0 in Dublin last night. 

James Akintunde scored on his debut with Conor McCormack hitting the second goal.

It moves the Candystripes above their opponents on goal difference into fifth place in the Premier Division table.

A minute's silence was observed at Richmond Park following the death of Derry City club President John Hume.
