The Economy minister says Westminster's Michael Gove has promised her a resolution to the Brexit steel crisis within days.
Some local steel manufacturers fear they may be forced to relocate their operations to Great Britain if 25 per cent tariffs are applied to steel imports here.
The issue was raised last week at Stormont by the SDLP's Colin McGrath.
The Brexit Protocol means Northern Ireland is treated as if it were part of the EU's single market.
However Diane Dodds says she's hopeful a solution can be found soon.
