The big switch-on in Newry's to take place later.
A free family event will get underway in Marcus Square from five.
It'll feature an open air concert, face-painting, balloon-modelling, carol singing and of course Santa will be there with his reindeer.
A colour run will take place before the switch-on this year, it follows the success of a similar event in the summer.
People young and old will be splashed with festively coloured paint as they run 2 km around the city centre.
Money raised from the run will go to 23 charities.
Council chairperson Gillian Fitzpatrick is encouraging us to get there early for the main event as they're expecting a crowd.
