Police are reminding the public of the consequences when it comes to having the likes of defective tyres and illegal tints on their windows.
It's after several cars were caught for the defects over the weekend.
A spokesperson for the PSNI Foyle said:
"Foyleside and the Moor Neighbourhood Policing Team detected 2 vehicles with all 4 tyres defective and almost entirely devoid of tread over this weekend.
"A defective tyre penalty is £60 and 3 points on your licence!
"With snow and ice potentially arriving soon, please check your tyres as without tread you are an accident waiting to happen.
"7 vehicles received tickets for heavily tinted glass.
"Please don't get your glass illegally tinted as it means you can' t see the road or your surroundings."
