Army Bomb teams were called to Fairmount Park in Dungannon this afternoon.
The device has been made safe and has been taken away for further examination.
A number of houses were evacuated during the incident but residents have been allowed to return home.

“I would also appeal to anyone who knows anything about this incident or anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact Police at Dungannon on the non-emergency number 101"
