A suspected knuckle-duster has been handed in to police after being found in Newtownards town centre.
A member of the public found the item close to the police station yesterday daytime.
Officers have reminded there's a complete ban on the sale of these items, and anyone found with one could face up to 4 years in prison.
A PSNI spokesperson said:
"Thank you very much to the member of the public who handed this ‘Knuckle Duster’ into us yesterday, having found it in the Newtownards Town Area, not far from the Police Station."
"There is a complete ban on the sale of this type of item and if you are found in possession of one of these, you could be facing up to four years imprisonment and a fine."
"If you use one of these to assault someone, the potential consequences will be even more serious."
