The local 'Today's' shop at Whitegate in Newry was forced to close on Saturday evening due to a burglary that occurred at around 6.30pm.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said:
"The staff and owner of the shop doesn't deserve this, nor do the local community."
The spokesperson also described the suspect:
"White male around 6’1 of slim build.
"He had a dark coloured hat on with a scarf around his face and wearing red gloves.
"Black jacket with a hood & white cord,
"Blue denim jeans & white trainers.
"If you have seen this male in the area, live locally & have CCTV or a dash cam or have ANY information to assist please call 101 quoting ref: 1039 03/02/18."
